Gabriele has taught our 17 year old daughter Italian to GCSE over the last two years. She had no previous experience of the language. (We had a couple of Italian au pairs, and she loves the country and the Italian language).

Gabriele is an enthusiastic native speaker and clearly enjoyed teaching our daughter. He prepared the lessons well and provided homework where appropriate. He liaised with the school regarding the exams. Our daughter, in turn, is highly motivated to learn and has gained confidence and skill from the one-to-one arrangement. Most of all she has enjoyed the experience.

We have had a regular term-time slot of either 1.5 or 2 hours on a Saturday, at our home, but timings have been flexible both ways.

I consider we were fortunate to find Gabriele, and would highly recommend him.

Gabriele is a great teacher! I have been taking Italian lessons from him for some time now and have always found him to be very patient and happy to proceed at a pace that suits me. He also constantly encourages me to learn more and to try harder.

Speaking a second language does not come easily but on a recent trip to Italy – I realised just how much he has taught me. I was confident enough to check into hotels and order meals in restaurants and even managed a short conversation or two in Italian.

I would be happy to recommend Gabriele’s teaching skills to anyone who is thinking of learning Italian.

We had a fantastic trip to Bologna organised by Gabriele . Nothing was too much trouble and we particularly enjoyed the variety of the experience from the wonderful accommodation and food and local wines at Torres de Jano to our guided tours of Ravenna and Ferrara and Bologna itself.

The opportunity to learn pasta making, have Italian lessons and go cycling in the beautiful countryside is something we will never forget. We would thoroughly recommend.

Gabriele is born to teach. Blessed with immense patience and a sense of fun, if you are unsure of giving Italian lessons a try (as I was), give him a call.
I have attended a weekly class with Gabriele for over 3 years now and am making great progress thanks to his style and encouragement.

I had a daily lesson for 1 hour from Tuesday to Friday in August, just before a holiday in Sicilia. I found Gabriele to be so easy to talk with – in Italian – and so informative and helpful, that I think my Italiano came on in leaps and bounds. If you are thinking of learning Italiano, he should be at the top of your list as a teacher. Ottimo.

My husband and I have been learning Italian with Gabriele for nearly two years now. Gabriele is very patient and his knowledge of Italian culture and history is exceptional. He always makes learning fun and our lessons are the highlight of my week. Our language skills have improved greatly and we always receive compliments from the Italians when we talk with them in Italy. On a recent visit to Bologna, a lady in a restaurant told me to complement my Italian teacher on teaching me so well. Gabriele has been my Italian tutor for more than two years, and is excellent in every respect.

I started with zero knowledge of the language, and so his patience has been invaluable and reassuring. He adjusts the pace and content of the lessons to my needs so that sometimes we work on grammar, sometimes on vocabulary and sometimes we just engage in conversation. 

My Italian is definitely progressing – although never as quickly as I would like! But the most important thing is that Gabriele makes the process so much fun and so enjoyable. I really look forward to my lessons!

Gabriele has been my son’s italian tutor for the past year. He is very professional yet he manages to make every lesson fun. My son has never once complained he had to have a lesson with Gabriele – believe me, for a 16year old, that is truly unique. I could not recommend him more, he is simply a great teacher!
